What the Pho
Pho is everywhere; rivaling coffee shops for placement in strip malls. A soup made with beef, chicken, or vegetables and rice noodles; Pho is healthy, good for those with allergies and puts colds in their place, and it's cheap - like $5 - $7 per person cheap. Hands down my favorite Pho place in terms of quality, service, and price is Pho Than Brothers. They only take cash, but with 10 locations from Tacoma to Everett, they are anything but inconvenient. They are fast, faster than fast food fast; so you can get in and out during your lunch hour without a hitch. Best of all, you always get a taste of their Banh Choux a la cream (custard puff)...mmm.....

Happy Hour: Ivar's Mukilteo Landing
Sit outside on the pier overlooking the Ferry with a glass of wine and a great appetizer for a steal seven days a week at Ivar's Mukilteo Landing. It's a great way to "keep clam." The house wine and wells are $3.50 and appetizers and light meals such as Local Penn Cove Mussels or Salmon Cakes range from $4.50 - $10. After eating, grab an ice cream cone for around $2 right outside and take a walk along the beach. Make a date out of it for under $30 total. Happy hour at Ivar's Mukilteo Landing is daily from 3pm - 6pm.

Pay Less at the Pump

According to AAA of WA, Washington State's gas prices are above the national average. Today's average price for regular gasoline was $2.694 and before the summer's over it will climb higher. Thankfully, they don't predict a repeat of last year's gas gouging, but a little savings still goes a long way. Find the best prices at www.seattlegasprices.com. Participate by updating the prices you see for a chance to win prizes like free gas cards.

Fridge Full of Ketchup

Ketchup seems to be my grocery shopping downfall. Until recently, I thought that buying the same product whether needed or not was peculiar to me, but friends have assured me that they too have products they buy compulsively. Not only does this waste precious cabinet space, but it's also a waste of money. The best remedy is a good grocery list. Of course, we know we should come to the store prepared with a list which we stick with and a handful of coupons, but who really has time? That's why I was excited to come across grocerywiz.com. You can easily create a printable grocery list, browse coupons and Sunday grocery ads all at the same time. It saves time, money, and space.
